Bio Grup Ltd. was founded by Mr. Hakan Aydin and his partners in Antalya in 2002. The company entered the sector by importing bumblebees and started production by importing queen bees. In 2005, the company started to produce bumblebee queens used in natural pollination for the first time in Turkey by using the latest technologies in its own facilities.
The company started exporting bumblebees to countries such as Azerbaijan, the Netherlands and Syria. In 2010, the company took a new investment decision and started the construction of a new facility in Çandır town of Serik district. The plant was put into operation in 2012.
The 5000 m2 Bio Grup plant is one of the most modern facilities in Turkey.
With the Bio Grup entry into the market, the prices of bumblebees have declined. In addition to greenhouses, bumblebees have also started to be widely used in gardens. An agricultural producer who uses bumblebees becomes more competitive due to increased quality of products and yield.
